Late Night Food Chapel Hill
I, like many of the people I surround myself with, pencil in their days around meals. Breakfast. Lunch. Mid-day snack. Dinner. Yet the most coveted of the day is the late-night meal. The late-night meal is one that happens to be the hardest to come by, as most sensical business owners close their doors by 9pm. I’m a late-night owl and dinner at 6pm ain’t gonna cut it when 12am rolls around. That is why those clutch business’ that do serve late night food have become a staple of my UNC experience.
My number one spot to hit up when I’m really feeling myself is the Sutton’s food truck, which is located right next to Bobs. Two of my favorite places in one spot? How convenient! I am a big fan of the mac and cheese bites. Dip those suckers in ranch and experience heaven in a bite!
Now, if you’re really feeling something saucy (PIZZA SAUCY THAT IS), I recommend the Pizza Press. This establishment on Franklin Street rivals the six other pizza places within .5 miles of each other.
If you’re looking for a throwback on Franklin, Linda’s has you covered. Get yourself some loaded tots or some tenders with honey mustard for a night of bliss. It’s open until 2 am.
Jimmy John’s is where you go when you’re feeling too lazy to leave the house. The freaky fast delivery never disappoints. The fact that they even deliver until 3 am is a god-sent blessing. The Italian in me can’t get enough of those salami and provolone subs when the sun goes down.
Might As Well is where you get your late-night wing fix. I’m craving chicken wings 24/7 so this place always comes in handy.
I had to include Time Out on this list. It wouldn’t have been very Tarheel-ish of me if I hadn’t. Lucky for you, this place never closes. That’s right. Time out is cooking up chicken biscuits for your enjoyment 24 hours seven days a week.
Sup Dogs. Sup Dogs. Sup Dogs. I have never loved hot dogs as much in my life after experiencing this place. If you’re looking for a little party with your food, Sup Dogs is a guaranteed good time. This place stays popping until 3 am every day.
I have to conclude this post in memory of Toppers pizza. The amount of money I spent on toppers sticks could be slightly embarrassing to the outsider, but I have simply ‘NO REGRATS.’ Sadly, Toppers shut its doors, conveniently for my senior year. This could’ve been beneficial for my overall health, but I really do miss this place. Petition for this Wisconsin-based pizza joint to make a revival back in NC!!! CHAPEL HILL MISSES YOU!
